Charles is dead. Everyone in this place is dead. No one remembers how they got here, only that they are here forever and pain is forever and even death can’t save them anymore.
But Charles is different, he does remember. And he knows he must escape. If he can’t he’ll lose his memories and forget the world from before and the people he loved. He must find a way out, lest he join that sorry procession of the amnesiac damned, another soul condemned to eternal suffering in the Land of the Black Sun.
So look up, Charles. There’s the spiral road. It winds around every level of this nightmare world and through every impossible horror that stands between you and your freedom. Do you dare walk that path? Do you have what it takes to survive? And most important of all—are you willing to pay the price? You thought you had nothing left to lose, didn’t you? Let us show you how wrong you were.
Swallow Us, Black Sun is an over-the-top, blood-soaked road trip through an absurdist purgatory where morally ambiguous characters must form an uneasy to alliance in order to find a rumored exit. Along the way they’ll face unimaginable horrors, make terrible choices, and be forced to confront the awful truth about why they were damned in the first place.
